We are looking for an experienced and commercially savvy Merchandise Planner - Technology to lead planning across some of our most exciting and fast-moving categories, including Mobiles, Accessories, Gaming and wider Consumer Technology.

In this role, you’ll combine strong analytical capability with strategic thinking to build financial plans, optimise stock flow and shape category performance. You’ll work closely with Buying and Supply Chain to deliver the right range, at the right time, at the right price, keeping our customers at the centre of every decision. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will influence category strategy, interpret insights into clear actions, and help drive profitable growth across a diverse set of technology-driven products.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Own the financial planning cycle across Technology, including OTB, budgeting and forward forecasting.
  • Work with Demand planning teams to deliver accurate demand forecasts, factoring in promotional activity, seasonality and long range trends.
  • Partner with Buyers to develop commercially strong assortments and range plans to drive sales, margin and stockturns.
  • Analyse product, customer and performance data to identify risks, opportunities and actionable insights.
  • Optimise stock flow and lifecycle management, ensuring strong availability while minimising overstocks and aged inventory.
  • Manage markdown strategy and category spend to deliver profitable outcomes and protect stock ROI.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights that influence decision-making across Buying, Supply Chain and Commercial teams.
  • Contribute to long-range category strategy through insight-driven recommendations and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is commercially sharp, highly analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

To be successful, you will have:

  • 3–5+ years experience in Merchandise Planning (retail or FMCG).
  • Proven capability in managing OTB, forecasting and budgeting in a multi-SKU environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, able to turn complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Experience working with promotional cycles, supplier-funded rebates/scanbacks, and branded tech suppliers (advantageous).
  • Experience working with forecasting and visualisation tools RELEX, Power BI & MicroStrategy (advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • A proactive, curious, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial acumen.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, dynamic environments where agility is key.
