The Merchandise Manager is responsible for driving financial performance and competitive positioning for assigned product categories across in-store and digital channels. This role supports the development and execution of category strategies, assortment plans, pricing models, vendor partnerships, and new product introductions. The Merchandise Manager partners cross-functionally to ensure merchandising initiatives align with company objectives, market trends, and customer needs to grow market share and profitability.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute category strategies that support financial targets, growth initiatives, and customer experience goals
Build and manage assortment plans, including new product introductions and product lifecycle decisions
Analyze category performance using key metrics such as sales, margin, inventory turns, and GMROI
Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities
Support pricing, promotional, and forecasting strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams
Collaborate with Sourcing to manage vendor relationships, negotiations, and cost structures
Ensure consistency of product information and merchandising across in-store and digital touchpoints
Partner with Marketing, Sales, Demand Planning, Store Operations, E-Commerce, and Training to drive execution
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising, category management, product management, or retail planning
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills preferred
Experience with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Looker) is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple teams
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
