Job Description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill the role of Merchandise Analyst. This unique position encompasses supporting the whole buying process for the team. The primary focus of this role is to provide essential administrative support to the buying team, ensuring seamless operations and efficient workflow management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage product setup in our systems, ensuring accurate and timely information for Barnstormer Boutique, AirVenture and E-Commerce platforms.
  2. Enter Purchase Orders (Pos) in NetSuite and Purchase Look-Up (PLU) codes into Aptify system.
  3. Analyze prior year sales data to calculate merchandise splits by location.
  4. Responsible for developing analysis of retail products, price, and promotion.
  5. Facilitate product transfers between the Warehouse and Barnstormer Boutique.
  6. Serve as the lead contact for Clover data entry.
  7. Collaborate closely with finance and IT teams to address product and operational matters.
  8. Assist the Accounts Payable team with matching retail invoices.
  9. Assist with ensuring successful order processing for Barnstormer Boutique and web orders on Shopify and Aptify platforms. This includes overseeing the order process from product set up to shipment and preparing Aptify orders for Accounting Services.
  10. Manage the documentation and processing for the internal produced inventory.
  11. Implement best practices for operational efficiency and exceptional customer services.
  12. Drive membership sales by effectively communicating the benefits of joining the organization.
  13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and synergy between buying and retail functions.
  14. Embrace and support the EAA mission and perform safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment.
  15. All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years of excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate workload fluctuations and work ahead as needed.
  • Passion for both administrative tasks and retail operations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous retail leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Proficiency in using Aptify, Shopify, and NetSuite systems or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Preparation for AirVenture or other events may require lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and push and pull motions.
