You'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects from start to finish. This role oversees field operations by coordinating subcontractors, sequencing work, maintaining the project schedule, ensuring quality standards, and enforcing project safety requirements. The ideal candidate has experience managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and excels at coordinating complex building systems, resolving constructability challenges, and driving successful installation and commissioning efforts. The Project Superintendent plays a critical role in delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest level of quality.

What You Will Do:

As Project Superintendent, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead coordination of MEP trades, ensuring proper sequencing, constructability, conflict resolution, and successful system installation, testing, and commissioning.

  • Partner with project teams, designers, and trade contractors to proactively identify and resolve MEP coordination issues using BIM and other coordination tools when applicable.

  • Create project-specific safety program highlighting key or unique hazards introduced by site conditions or work methods and scheduled adjacencies. Develop and communicate leadership approach for addressing hazards on the project.

  • Arrange and coordinate timely permitting and required inspections to start and complete work.

  • Review conceptual, schematic, and design development documents for constructability, phasing options, temporary protection requirements, site logistics, and other field construction issues. Recommend or evaluate construction options and efficiencies based on these reviews.

  • Review construction documents with a focus on constructability, logistics, and MEP system integration.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role as a Foreman or Superintendent.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on commercial construction projects, including managing trade sequencing, system interfaces, and installation activities.

  • Successful completion of training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Leadership.
