Job Description

MEP Services Manager -268135

As part of the ACS Group – a global leader in infrastructure, engineering and construction delivering some of the world’s most complex data centre and mission‑critical projects – you gain exposure to international expertise, proven delivery systems, and a global project pipeline.

We are seeking an experienced MEP Services Manager to take ownership of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) delivery on a major data centre construction project in Melbourne.

You will lead the planning, coordination and execution of building services works, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery from early works and design coordination through testing, commissioning and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end MEP services delivery and act as the project-wide technical lead across design coordination, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and final handover
  • Manage key stakeholders including clients, consultants, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and specialist vendors to achieve program, quality, safety, and commercial outcomes
  • Coordinate complex interfaces across CSA, fit-out, ICT/ELV, fire systems, BMS, and critical infrastructure, reducing rework and improving commissioning readiness
  • Drive structured completion and handover processes, including ITPs, test packs, asset data, O&M manuals, training, defects, and seasonal commissioning planning
  • Partner with the broader project team on risk, methodology, sequencing, and constructability, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements
  • Promote and embed a proactive safety culture, ensuring all services works are planned and executed safely

About You

This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex interface challenges, driving disciplined planning, and building strong relationships across clients, consultants, subcontractors and commissioning stakeholders.

  • Proven experience leading MEP delivery on large-scale, complex construction projects (data centres, hospitals, commercial towers, infrastructure, or similar service-intensive builds)
  • Strong knowledge of services delivery, commissioning readiness, and staged handover in high-performance environments
  • Demonstrated capability to lead subcontractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive outcomes through structured planning and communication
  • Sound commercial awareness (progress, variations, claims support) and a strong quality mindset (ITPs, inspections, compliance, documentation)
  • Relevant trade, engineering, or building qualifications (electrical or mechanical), or equivalent experience
  • Ability to translate between technical design intent and practical site delivery requirements

Why join UGL?

  • Deliver a high-profile data centre project backed by the global scale and capability of the ACS Group
  • Be part of a business connected to hyperscale and mission-critical infrastructure pipelines worldwide
  • Access global best practices, technical expertise, and delivery systems
  • Operate in a Tier 1 environment that invests in people, innovation, and long-term capability
  • Build your career with structured development, internal mobility, and potential international pathways
  • A rewarding Wellness Program with AIA Vitality – earn cashback on everyday health activities
  • Access a wide range of employee benefits and discounts across retail, food & wine, insurance, and entertainment
