Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for an MEP Project Executive to join our National Mission Critical team!

This individual is primarily responsible for managing project teams to successfully deliver complex hyperscale data center projects, meeting ambitious goals, budgets, and achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on all aspects of data center construction, providing guidance on constructability, system selection, and value engineering for critical MEP infrastructure.

  • Oversee the design development, budget preparation, and scheduling for hyperscale data center projects, with a strong focus on the integration of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.

  • Lead procurement and subcontracting strategies, specifically for long-lead MEP equipment, specialized vendors, and trade partners critical to data center construction.

  • Ensure team members understand what is expected of them and hold them accountable for performance, provide regular feedback and have development conversations, delegate appropriate tasks and provide timely and meaningful recognition.

  • Consistently achieves customer satisfaction goals and raving fans to become a Trusted Advisor to our clients.

  • Make effective and convincing formal sales presentations to prospective customers, highlighting our expertise in technical construction.

  • Effectively negotiates business and legal provisions of construction contracts.

  • Supervise a team of Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators.

  • Achieve team financial and risk management goals, with a specific focus on mitigating risks associated with speed-to-market, supply chain for critical equipment, and complex commissioning processes.

  • Participate or lead owner/client presentations, negotiations, and team meetings.

  • Assure the team’s accounts receivables are managed effectively and collected promptly.

  • Ensure project closeout duties, including Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning of all critical systems, are completed to the highest standards and in a timely manner.

  • Assures the team’s warranty issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

  • Coordinate with market sector leads to balance workload, responsibility, and integration between sector and region talent.

Job Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and at least 15+ years of proven construction experience, with a significant portfolio of successfully delivered hyperscale data center projects.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the complex electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems that form the backbone of modern data centers, including high-voltage substations, backup generator plants, UPS systems, and advanced cooling solutions (e.g., liquid cooling, chilled water systems).

  • You will also have a proven track record of successfully managing Project Management teams on large-scale technical projects.

  • You must be able to recognize, select, and hire top talent at the appropriate time & develop talent to all levels within construction operations.

  • Willing to travel for projects as needed.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Proven ability to lead project teams on hyperscale projects exceeding $400M in value.

  • Advanced knowledge of data center commissioning processes (Level 1-5) and Integrated Systems Testing.

  • Experience implementing and managing energy control plans including complex LOTO, energization activities with Methods of Procedure, and working with Energy Marshal teams.

  • Existing relationships with key hyperscale clients and a deep understanding of their unique standards, protocols, and delivery expectations.

Compensation:

The salary range is $160,000 - $200,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
