Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the installation of MEP systems for construction projects.
• Conduct inspections to ensure that MEP systems are installed according to design specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate MEP systems into project designs.
• Monitor the progress of MEP-related work and ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Perform cost estimation, budgeting, and material procurement for MEP works.
• Ensure compliance with UAE safety standards and regulations related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to MEP systems during construction and post-construction phases.
• Prepare and review detailed project reports, including designs, as-built drawings, and specifications.
• Supervise MEP contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Manage maintenance schedules for MEP systems to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience as an MEP Engineer, with at least 6 years in the UAE.
  • Proven expertise in managing MEP systems for large-scale construction projects.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP tools.
  • Familiarity with UAE regulations and standards for MEP systems.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with project teams and contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to troubleshoot MEP issues.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
• Educational Background:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
  • Professional certifications in MEP or relevant disciplines are an advantage.
