Role Purpose

We are seeking a qualified and experienced MEP Draftsman to join our team for construction and building projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting drawings while coordinating closely with engineers, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate MEP drawings, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
• Develop coordinated shop drawings in collaboration with engineers, designers, and project teams.
• Update and revise drawings based on site instructions, consultant comments, and markups.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Maintain proper documentation, filing, and version control of project drawings.
• Assist in resolving design and coordination issues during project execution.
• Ensure timely delivery of drawings in line with project schedules.
• Support site teams with technical drafting requirements and drawing clarifications.

Qualifications

Education

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in the UAE.
• Experience in construction, commercial, residential, or industrial building projects.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in Revit MEP is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and drafting practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and shop drawing preparation.
