The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Construction Manager is responsible to oversee and manage all aspects of MEP construction projects, ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are installed and functioning efficiently within building projects. They are responsible for coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that MEP systems are designed, installed, and commissioned according to project specifications, codes, and industry standards. Additionally, they oversee budgeting, scheduling, and procurement related to MEP systems, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The MEP Construction Manager also monitors quality control, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the construction process.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for MEP systems to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
Lead all architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards.
Implement quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and adherence to safety regulations.
Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Approve and manage MEP contractors, suppliers, and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
Identify and resolve issues related to MEP systems during construction, minimizing delays and maintaining project progress.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
Ensure all MEP work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with the final outcomes.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
Good knowledge of Construction and MEP activities and Quality Management System
Knowledge of building systems, energy technologies, green building and high performance design.
Understanding of marketing strategy and market analysis techniques is a strong plus.
Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused
Knowledge of MEP construction and subcontracting (electrical and controls preferred)
Strong written and oral communication skills for customer interaction and report writing.
Knowledge of energy efficiency, performance contracting, commissioning, BIM or green building is a strong plus with proven track record on completing projects.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
