
Just42 is looking for a Compass Mentoring and Schools Work Coordinator
This is an excellent opportunity to join Just42's staff team as a Compass Mentoring and Schools Work Coordinator for Farlingaye High School. We are looking to recruit a replacement for maternity cover for a year to work as the coordinator for well-established work at Farlingaye High School to work alongside the existing Kesgrave High School Coordinator.
As a long-established local charity, we offer quality youth and children’s work within a Christian ethos. Just42 is committed to the importance of safeguarding and promoting children/young people’s welfare.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for maintaining the support offered at Farlingaye High School this would include coordinating our Compass Mentoring project within the school and other projects to run in the school too. This will include a Christian Union and other lunchtime sessions. Training will be given on Compass Mentoring, so the successful candidate is confident with the project.
In accordance with the Equality Act 2010 it is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a practicing Christian. You will need to hold a valid right to work in the UK. This post will end when the substantive postholder returns from maternity leave.
You will need:
youth work training or qualifications
proven track record of effective youth work including mentoring
previous experience of Christian youth work.
We will offer you
The hours will be full-time 37.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days with part time considered. This position has an hourly rate of up to £15.87 depending on experience and will also include 5 weeks holiday on a pro-rata basis, life cover and pension benefits.
