This position will work with the Director of Mental Health and the Clinical Program Manager. The Mental Health Therapists will provide clinical treatment for a variety of ages to include young children, teens, adults, and/or families. Special clinical focus may include working with high-risk youth who are at high risk of missing from home, sexual exploitation, and sex trafficking. These positions may perform some crisis intervention services with children and families to include meeting them within their community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Professional Development
Licensure reimbursement benefit Project Harmony supports employees in the process of obtaining a clinical license to practice Mental Health Therapy in the State of Nebraska. Project Harmony covers the following cost for PLMHP, LMHP, LIMHP (MHT positions only), and LCSW:
· Clinical supervision of hours (can be obtained on-site at Project Harmony)
· Provisional License and Licensure application fees (applies to all licensure levels)
· Licensure exam fee (first attempt- employee agrees to pay costs for additional attempts to pass exam)
· Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) required for licensure renewal

Project Harmony Child Protection Center is a community-based organization providing child-friendly, centralized and integrated child abuse assessment and investigation for children throughout eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Project Harmony works with state human services and local law enforcement agencies to protect the child and prosecute the offender. This past year, 8,064 children sought services at Project Harmony.
Since the opening of Project Harmony in 1996 more than 64,000 children have received vital services in prevention and child abuse assessment, investigation and treatment referral. Prosecution rates have increased and abused children and their families are able to get professional help in the process of healing.
The Project Harmony Training Institute was established in 2007 and since that time more than 30,000 students, citizens and professionals have been taught the best methods to assess and respond to children and their families who have been impacted by abuse and neglect.
Project Harmony and its partner agencies work together to serve families throughout the communities of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. This collaborative effort provides effective, immediate and sensitive support to child victims and their non-offending family members, improved communication and case resolution.
