The Mental Health Therapist is a 10-month, full-time position within ECHO at the University of Dayton’s Center for Catholic Education. This position provides individual, group, family, and crisis counseling services to students in assigned K–12 Catholic schools. The therapist also delivers social and emotional learning programming, supports school principals and staff in responding to challenging student behaviors, and works collaboratively with school personnel, families, and community partners to support student mental health and wellness.

Qualified candidates must hold a master’s degree in counseling or social work and be licensed in the State of Ohio as an LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW. Candidates must have experience providing mental health treatment to a variety of clients, experience working with diverse populations, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record.

Preferred qualifications include LPCC or LISW licensure, experience providing mental health counseling in a K–12 school setting, knowledge of Catholic school culture, and demonstrated success working independently, as part of a team, and in partnership with school staff and community members.
