Job Title: Mental Health Primary Therapist

Location: Alexandria, Virginia

Work Environment: Teen & Young Adult Outpatient Treatment Center

Schedule: Full Time hourly | between 30 - 40 hours per week (some evening hours required)

Compensation Range: $33.65 - $41.83 per hour (Dependent on Licensure / Experience)

About the Job:

As a Primary Therapist at Sandstone Care, you will play a vital role in our mission. You will:

• Provide high-quality and empathic therapy to individuals and groups, addressing the root causes of adolescent client's substance use and mental health diagnosis.
• Facilitate engaging and effective 3-hour clinical groups three times a week, covering topics such as coping skills, relapse prevention, and life skills.
• Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans, ensuring that each client receives the best possible care and achieves their recovery goals.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of a Master's degree in a Behavioral Health Science required (clinical social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field)

Training & Experience:

• Required to be a licensed clinician in the state of Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) Provisional Licensed will also be considered (Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy)
• Previous experience with treating mental health conditions is required;
• Preferred experience with a treatment facility in residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and/or intensive outpatient (IOP) settings is required
