Evening Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)
Responsibilities:
· Provide direct care and support to individuals and groups of psychiatric patients.
· Assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and milieu management.
· Organize and implement therapeutic group activities in collaboration with program staff.
· Demonstrate knowledge of psychotropic medications, including desired and side effects.
· Recognize changes in patient mental status and promptly report findings to the primary nurse.
· Assist with nursing admissions and supplemental care components.
· Utilize therapeutic skills in crisis intervention.
· Foster collegial and professional relationships with peers, patients, and families while promoting a culturally sensitive environment.
· Safely transport youth and families as needed for program-related activities, ensuring adherence to RUMC’s safety standards.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma required; BS or 60 college credits toward a degree in a related field preferred
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an acute care psychiatric setting preferred.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
· Strong orientation toward patient-centered care and consumer satisfaction.
· Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and sensory acuity sufficient to perform duties.
· Current BLS certification required
· CPI or PMCS certification preferred.
· Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
Monday - Friday; 11a - 7p
Salary Range: $27.222/hr - $28.614/hr ; Grant Funded Program
