
The Mental Health Professional is the primary inpatient psychiatric clinician providing acute care and treatment as part of an integrated treatment team led by the attending physician. The Mental Health Professional is responsible for caring for and coordinating their assigned patients and families. Primary duties include regular liaison with members of the treatment team, psychosocial assessments, individual and family sessions, group therapy, safety planning, discharge planning, aftercare follow-up, and liaison with community agencies as needed etc. The Mental Health Professional reports to the Acute Psychiatric Hospital’s Social Service Supervisor and is a member of the Social Service Department.

Master's Degree - Required
Experience:
1 year Behavioral Health - Inpatient or Residential Treatment - Required
Certifications/Licensures:
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training- Required within 30-days of hire and renewal annually or within 30-days of return from a leave of absence
Skills:
Must have computer skills for word processing, internet, and e-mail usage.
