Schedule: This position follows a 24 hour part time schedule with variable hours. This position will work every other weekend and may have the opportunity to pick up additional hours. Flexibility may be required based on patient and operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for coordinating care for a group of patients for a designated period to achieve clinical outcomes.
  2. Manages hand-off communication with incoming and outgoing shifts; conducts rounds to familiarize self with patients on the unit.
  3. Manages the admission process up to the nursing assessment including contraband checks and new patient orientation and the discharge process specific to accurate return of belongings.
  4. Routinely provides one to one assistance to assigned patients.
  5. Demonstrates the ability to supervise the therapeutic milieu including de-escalation techniques.
  6. Participates in department/unit performance improvement activities.
  7. Provides assistance with the basic activities of living as required, instructs on all aspects of self-care.
  8. Executes directives provided by the charge nurse.
  9. Milieu management abilities.
  10. Running Behavioral Health groups.
  11. Verbal de-escalation skills.
  12. Bachelors degree Required
  13. CPR certification Required CPI a Plus.
