What you’ll do: You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing professional mental health services and psychological programs of a non-medical nature. The position coordinates and directs the activities of personnel engaged in providing psychological services to residents in compliance with MTC Medical and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) directives.
Essential Functions:
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum: Current license in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Advance Practice Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW-AP), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Seven (7) years of clinical experience and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience required.
Preferred: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, mental health, counseling or related field, a license or certification as required by the state of Texas, five years of clinical experience required and minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience.
Additional requirements: Current CPR certification required. Computer skills and evaluative, counseling skills are also required for this position. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
