Mental Health Clinician

Division/Program:

Fresno Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP)

Starting Compensation:

75,000 - 85.000 USD Per Year

Working Location:

Fresno, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

4-day/10-hour schedule (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday), based on availability. Hours may vary to meet client needs

What you bring to SBHG: 

  • Master's degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, or psychology from an accredited college or university required.

  • One (1) year of direct service experience in a mental health setting is required (student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted).

  • Experience in a community-based therapy setting preferred.

  • Mental Health Specialist II: Licensed as AMFT, ACSW, or APCC required.

  • Mental Health Specialist III: Licensed as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC required.

  • Valid California Driver's Licenserequired andmeetAgency driver eligibility criteria

How you will make a difference: 

  • Identifies immediate risks and needs of and family and develops a plan to address them in collaboration with the treatment team.

  • Identifies ongoing treatment needs and develops plans, diagnoses, and updates problem lists as needed.

  • Incorporates Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Motivational Interviewing into services.

  • Facilitate treatment team meetings.

  • Uses a “whatever it takes” approach to provide services in various settings, including homes, schools/work, and community and office settings.Usesa personal vehicle to drive to and from off-site locations to provide services. May be required to transport participants and/or family members in a personal vehicle.

  • Provides services, including individual, family, and group therapy and collateral, to youth/TAY and their families, as deemed necessary and appropriate through the assessment process and in collaboration with the treatment team. Services are to be short-term, as longer-term services and resources are identified.

  • Available for 24/7 on-call services to assist in crisis intervention and to provide support for problem resolution. On-call is scheduled on a rotating basis.
