Job Description

What you’ll do at DBH:The Director of Performance Improvement will develop and implement performance improvement and quality assurance plans on a system wide basis while coordinating with the DBH Hospital Services.Work with the Hospital Executive Committee (HEC), department heads, committee chairs and team leadersExamine current PI/QA plans, and policies in order to make recommendations for changesDevelop and implement programs, policies and plans for Active Psychiatric Treatment and Recovery programsDevelop methods to assure the facility's performancePromote a continuous state of readiness to assure compliance with all accrediting and certifying agenciesMonitor The Joint Commission (TJC) required functionsOversee the Peer Review Nurses chart review process to ensure quality of care and complianceCoordinate the management of the national bench-marketing data through N.R.I.Prepare and submit computer generated reportsKeep abreast of current trends and changesParticipate in and or chairs committees, PI/QA teams; attend meetings, seminars, and training sessionsServes as legal liaison to DBH legal staff and the Attorney General's OfficeThis is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of 15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (Flexible Schedule). This position is located at our Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare location, located at 1756 Sagamore Rd Northfield, Ohio 44067.Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.Additional Salary / Appointment Information:Longevity supplement at 5 years of serviceWhy Work for the State of OhioAt the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans. Qualifications

Position Qualifications:Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration or mental health technology (e.g., psychology, rehabilitation, social work); 12 mos. exp. in area to be assigned.

OR completion of graduate core program in public administration or business administration.

OR12 mos. exp. as Mental Health Administration 4, 65224, in Department of Mental Health. Note: prior training &/or experience must be directly related to area to be assigned.

OR The equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
