We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Accredited Social Worker to join our dynamic team.

We support people from all walks of life, offering a range of specialist mental health programs and offer NDIS services that promote emotional and social wellbeing and reduce the risk of mental illness.

The role works across a number of programs including NDIS, Medicare funded services, assisting participants to apply for NDIS and to provide culturally sensitive and effective mental health services to adults from CALD backgrounds who are experiencing severe and complex mental health issues. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients with severe and complex mental health conditions.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and cultural sensitivity.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring culturally competent care.
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention and support to clients in need.
  • Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with program guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work
  • Experience working with adults with severe and complex mental health issues, particularly from CALD backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, NDIS, and PHN program guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills.
  • Current registration with relevant regulatory bodies.
