The Role

This role will see you working mainly on commercial roofing projects, supporting qualified Membrane Roofers while learning the trade on the job.

As a Membrane Roofing Apprentice, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting skilled roofing tradespeople with installations, maintenance and repairs
• Learning membrane roofing systems including TPO, Butynol and Torch On
• Preparing materials, tools and equipment for daily jobs
• Maintaining clean, tidy and safe work sites
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Developing strong teamwork and communication skills

About You

We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to learn and grow within the construction industry and who demonstrates Turfrey’s core values of Dependable, Proud, Family, Growth and Energy.

You will ideally have:

• A genuine interest in roofing or the construction industry
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople
• Physical fitness and enjoyment of hands-on work
• Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
• A restricted or full driver licence (preferred)
• Completion of a Gateway or pre-trade programme (advantageous but not essential)

Turfrey are applicators of Viking, Nuralite, Equus and other flat roof products, but experience in these products is essential. Turfrey also install a wide range of products such as Warm Roofing, Kingspan, Eurotray, Ardex, Nuralitre, Viking, Waterproofing Systems, Roof Logic – Fibretite and more.
