Membership Specialist

As a Membership Specialist (MS) at UFC GYM, you'll be the first impression of our brand and a driving force behind our growth. You'll inspire prospective members to begin their fitness journey while delivering exceptional service that keeps current members engaged, motivated, and connected to our community.

This is more than a sales role. It's an opportunity to make an impact by building relationships, generating excitement, and helping people transform their lives through fitness. The Membership Specialist is responsible for creating new membership opportunities through strategic prospecting, community outreach, lead generation, and exceptional customer interactions. Success in this role is measured by consistently exceeding sales goals, appointment targets, and membership revenue objectives while delivering a world-class member experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Generation & Appointment Setting

• Drive new business through daily community outreach, grassroots marketing, event promotions, and local business partnerships.
• Represent UFC GYM in the community by distributing guest passes, attending events, and building brand awareness that generates high-quality leads.
• Create opportunities through internal prospecting efforts, including referral programs, member engagement, and relationship-building activities.
• Utilize phone, text, email, and in-person outreach to schedule membership consultations and fitness tours.
• Meet or exceed monthly lead generation, appointment-setting, and guest visit goals.
• Convert prospecting efforts into meaningful conversations that result in memberships and long-term relationships.

Membership Sales & Fitness Consultations

• Deliver an engaging and personalized UFC GYM Fitness Tour to every guest.
• Create an exciting and welcoming environment that helps prospects envision achieving their fitness goals with UFC GYM.
• Present membership options using company-approved sales processes and tools.
• Build value through consultative selling techniques that focus on individual member needs and goals.
• Introduce every prospective member to management before finalizing the enrollment process.
• Consistently achieve or exceed performance goals, including:
• New Member Sales (NMS)
• Point-of-Sale Personal Training Revenue (POS PT)
• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) enrollments
• Membership conversion ratios
• Maintain integrity and accuracy in all membership agreements and supporting documentation.

Customer Experience & Member Retention

• Deliver exceptional customer service during every interaction with members and guests.
• Proactively follow up with new members to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and continued engagement.
• Build lasting relationships that increase member satisfaction, referrals, and retention.
• Support member retention by effectively addressing concerns and presenting solutions that keep members active and connected to UFC GYM.
• Maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional facility environment at all times.

Team Collaboration & Professional Standards

• Participate in daily production meetings and monthly team meetings focused on performance, training, and growth.
• Work collaboratively with management and team members to achieve club goals.
• Uphold UFC GYM's standards of professionalism, appearance, and customer experience.
• Accurately record work hours and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain schedule flexibility, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of UFC GYM sales training and onboarding program.

Experience

• 1-2 years of sales, fitness, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience in health club membership sales is a plus.

Compensation: $17.05 per hour
