A Member Service Representative III assists members with transactions, new memberships and accounts, loan applications, and daily credit union needs while providing exceptional service and account support. This role gathers and reviews financial information during both the account opening and loan application processes, serves as a liaison between members and lending teams to ensure clear communication and a positive experience, and acts as a trusted advisor by building relationships, understanding each member’s financial situation, and recommending products and services that best meet their needs and goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Cross‑sell loan, deposit, and electronic banking products to meet member needs.
  • Achieve monthly goals for ancillary loan product penetration and sales performance.
  • Interview applicants, collect required information, and ensure loan documents meet policy standards.
  • Guide members by recommending products and services that best fit their financial goals.
  • Process loan approvals, securecollateral liens, and close loans accurately.
  • Opennew accounts—including checking, savings, certificates, IRAs, and money markets—and verify eligibility.
  • Perform teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account maintenance.
  • Resolve member inquiries by providing account information, researching issues, and delivering timely solutions.
  • Support branch operations by assisting with audits, night drop processing, supply monitoring, and opening/closing duties.
  • Cultivate a positive, respectful, and collaborative culture across the organization—fostering strong relationships among staff, departments, branches, and external partners. Champion a caring and inclusive environment for both employees and members, aligned with the Credit Union’s mission and values.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two–year College or technical school; or six months related experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly motivated and member-oriented individual who provides exceptional service.
  • Effectively promote various credit union products and services.
  • Able to identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and meet their financial needs.
  • Interview applicant and request specified information for loan application.
  • Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Meet established goals for acceptable penetration or monthly sales numbers.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of computer equipment and software required including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of lending procedures, credit union guidelines, and loan product features.

  5. Once you’ve signed your offer letter, we’ll begin your background and credit check

This role is on‑site at our Allen Branch Monday–Friday and includes a requirement of at least two Saturdays per month.

Compensation is $21-26 per hour, commensurate with experience and educational background.
