Job Description

The Member Relationship Officer creates a positive and memorable member experience by building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service. This role assists members with consumer lending, new accounts, digital banking services, account maintenance, transaction processing, and issue resolution. Through meaningful conversations, the Member Relationship Officer identifies member needs, provides financial education, and recommends products and services that support members' financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong member relationships by providing personalized service and proactive financial guidance.
  • Identify member needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions.
  • Assist members with opening, maintaining, and servicing deposit accounts and related services.
  • Interview loan applicants, gather and analyze information, and provide appropriate recommendations to support lending decisions.
  • Process member transactions and account maintenance accurately, efficiently, and confidentially.
  • Resolve member concerns and inquiries with professionalism and a focus on delivering positive outcomes.
  • Educate members on ancillary lending products, insurance options, and other financial solutions that support their needs.
  • Achieve individual and team sales, service, and performance goals.
  • Refer members to specialized partners, including Mortgage Lending, Financial Planning, Investment Services, Treasury Management, and other financial solutions when appropriate.
  • Represent the organization professionally within the community and promote a positive member experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of customer service and sales experience.
  • Previous experience in banking, credit union, or financial services environments preferred.
  • Financial Counselor Certification or similar credential is a plus.
  • Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services that provide value to members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with members and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable software applications.
  • Flexible availability, including occasional Saturdays.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $54000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
