Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director, Member Relations, the Member Relations Coordinator will achieve understanding of the strategy and programs of NCCN, work to increase the level of awareness of NCCN’s programs and initiatives at NCCN Member Institutions, and foster the engagement of NCCN Members in these activities. This individual will serve as a trusted resource and liaison to the multiple stakeholders at NCCN Member Institutions as well as a resource to NCCN staff regarding NCCN Members.

Requirements

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Senior Director, Member Relations to execute the NCCN Strategic Plan’s strategies designed to engage NCCN Member Institutions
  • Perform outreach to increase awareness of NCCN’s programs. Foster relationships with and serve as a resource to NCCN Member Institution stakeholders
  • Plan and execute on-site visits conducted with NCCN Member Institutions
  • Support the execution of virtual NCCN programming for Member Institutions
  • Assist in providing administrative oversight and management of the NCCN Board of Directors, NCCN Member Institution Representative Council, and designated NCCN Committees
  • Review and edit NCCN eBulletin for Member Institutions newsletter and other informational materials
  • Work with NCCN Marketing Department to prepare NCCN Member Institution Engagement Reports
  • Connect with NCCN Member Institution leadership to appoint representatives to NCCN Committees
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Travel occasionally as required

EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience within the health care industry; oncology or academic medical experience preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, relationship management skills, and ability to interact effectively with internal colleagues and external personnel at all levels
  • Ability to understand and communicate the needs and interests of academic centers to develop strong, meaningful relationships between these institutions and NCCN
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Outstanding follow-up
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
  • Self-motivated and self-starting
  • Proficient in MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and is largely sedentary.
  • This role routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
