We’re partnering with a fast-growing AI company hiring a senior backend/infrastructure engineer to help architect the core systems behind real-time AI workflows.

This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who has strong opinions about architecture, can identify what needs to be rebuilt, and is comfortable taking systems from whiteboard to production.

What You’ll Own

• Architect and build core backend systems for real-time AI products
• Design low-latency, event-driven services and distributed workflows
• Deploy and scale resilient infrastructure using Kubernetes
• Improve reliability, fault tolerance, database performance, and system observability
• Build infrastructure that supports continuously improving AI systems
• Own technical decisions, code quality, architecture, and engineering best practices

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional engineering experience
• Strong Python
• Deep backend and infrastructure experience
• Experience personally architecting production systems
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals
• Database design and performance optimization
  • High ownership and comfort operating in fast-moving startup environments
  • Daily use of modern AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Codex

  Strong Plus

  • Kubernetes in production
  • Event-driven or parallel-processing architectures
  • Sub-second / low-latency systems
  • AWS infrastructure
  • Voice, telephony, or real-time media systems
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
