Salary: $240,000 – $300,000 + Competitive Equity
Our client is an early-stage AI company building autonomous compliance analysts for banks and fintechs.
The company develops AI agents that automate complex financial compliance workflows such as KYC (Know Your Customer), KYB (Know Your Business), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and transaction monitoring. These systems integrate deeply with financial institutions and internal enterprise systems, replacing large volumes of manual operations work.
Despite being a small, fast-moving team (~10 people), the company has already signed multiple enterprise customers across the US, Canada, Europe, and LatAm, and is scaling rapidly.
The founding team includes experienced operators and repeat founders with prior success building and selling AI products. The company is backed by top-tier investors and is aggressively expanding engineering and operations teams to support growing customer demand.
Build and deploy AI agents that automate compliance workflows in financial institutions
Design and implement browser-based automation systems for real-world enterprise workflows
Optimize core logic for KYC, KYB, AML, and transaction monitoring systems
Work end-to-end across backend systems, AI pipelines, and customer integrations
Experiment with cutting-edge AI models and design agentic workflows
Build scalable infrastructure for high-reliability, high-compliance environments
Integrate systems directly into customer environments (banks, fintechs, enterprise APIs)
Collaborate directly with customers to understand workflows and improve system performance
Ship fast and iterate rapidly in a high-ownership startup environment
Identify edge cases in compliance systems and design robust solutions
6–14 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong backend or full-stack engineering background
Experience building end-to-end production systems in the cloud (AWS preferred)
Prior experience at high-growth startups or as an early employee/founder
Strong CS fundamentals and ability to reason about complex systems
Experience working in fintech, regtech, or security-heavy environments (preferred)
Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership
Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
Experience building AI systems, agentic workflows, or LLM-based applications
Experience with browser automation, scraping, or workflow orchestration systems
Background in compliance, fraud detection, payments, or financial infrastructure
Prior startup founding experience or early technical leadership roles
Experience working directly with enterprise customers
Strong academic background in CS or related technical field
Competitive base salary: $240,000 – $300,000
