The Opportunity

epocrates, Inc., an athenahealth company, is recognized for developing the #1 medical application among U.S. physicians for clinical content, practice tools, and health industry engagement at the point of care. epocrates has established a loyal network of more than 1 million health care professionals who routinely use its intuitive solutions to help streamline workflows and improve patient care.

We are seeking a Web Developer to own the development, optimization, and ongoing evolution of our Webflow powered digital properties. This role sits within our Marketing Operations team and plays a critical part in supporting our B2C and B2B marketing efforts by enabling marketing strategy, campaign execution, and growth initiatives through high-quality, performance, and scalable web solutions. This role supports the ongoing evolution of our web platform by building and maintaining core pages and templates, optimizing site performance and SEO in partnership with key stakeholders, supporting analytics and marketing technology integrations, while maintaining clean, scalable site architecture that enables efficient updates and long-term growth.


This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, engineering, and marketing performance, and who takes pride in building clean, maintainable systems—not just pages. The role provides strong exposure to cross-functional partners and offers an opportunity to grow technical skills while contributing directly to high-impact business outcomes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Web Development & Engineering: Build, maintain, and scale our business website and landing pages using Webflow to deliver on performance, SEO, and conversion goals; Translate creative designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Webflow builds; Implement custom interactions, animations, and other web components.

    Performance, SEO & Accessibility: Optimize site performance and Core Web Vitals; Implement on-page SEO best practices; Implement analytics instrumentation with Amplitude/GTM, ensuring accurate tracking and accessible dashboards for stakeholders; Ensure accessibility standards are met.

    Integrations & Marketing Technology: Maintain analytics, CRM, and marketing tool integrations, structure, and workflows to reduce engineering bottlenecks and enable non-technical teams; Ensure clean and reliable data capture.

    Operations & Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Engineering when needed; Document components and templates; Provide ongoing web maintenance, enhancements, and web analytics reporting.

Research & Best Practices: Stay on top of emerging trends in web development, CMS best practices, and performance optimization; Continuously test and refine web experiences to maximize usability, accessibility, and business impact; Evaluate and introduce new tools and frameworks that improve efficiency and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional web development experience with strong Webflow expertise, Drupal experience is a plus!
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript/typescript, React, responsive design
  • Proficiency with GA4, GTM, SEO tooling, onetrust/cookie management, Amplitude & web events/tags
  • Experience translating designs from Figma or other creative files into high performance web pages
  • Exposure supporting a marketing or growth website is a plus
  • Experience with Monday.com, Contentful, Sanity, and/or Optimizely is also a plus!
