Job Location: Hope Valley Country Club - Durham, NC 27707
Position Type: Part-Time (Less than 30 hours a week)
Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 Hourly
Hope Valley Country Club is looking for a Member Experience Coordinator which will provide high level office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Member Experience Coordinator will also greet members and guests in a personable, friendly, and professional manner. This position will report to the Club Assistant General Manager.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing immediate attention to all members and guests upon entry.
- Maintaining a positive attitude with all staff and members.
- Answering the phone with the proper greeting and communicating in a polite and effective manner.
- Billing for member events in general
- Adding and updating member information in club directory, newsletter and website.
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the Department Heads
- Club calendar support, updates, scheduling, and logistics, including the tracking for all registrations.
- Website audits and updates performed weekly.
- Club communications; daily, weekly and monthly
- Setting up member dining reservations and event reservations
- Ordering supplies for all departments
- Creating Excel and Word documents and reports. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Supporting the design and communication of member events in collaboration with the events team. Must be proficient with Canva and other design templates.
- Manage the Club’s social media presence, including planning, creating, and publishing content that reflects the Club’s brand and enhances member engagement.
REQUIRED SKILLS
The Receptionist at Hope Valley Country Club must have the following skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Supply management and highly organized and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in Canva is required, with the ability to create polished, professional, and on-brand materials. Responsibilities include designing a variety of visual assets such as flyers, event collateral, signage, and digital communications while maintaining consistency with the Club’s brand standards.
- Social media management, including posting, engagement, and basic content creation
- Comfortable working five days a week, including Saturdays and key holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving.
- Self-sufficient and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate needs rather than simply react
- Must have 2 years of administrative experience.
- This position has the ability for growth within the company and into a salary position.
