Job Description

We're accepting applications now and will begin active recruitment in September/October 2026.

Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination. Multiple boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities, all under one roof, for one membership. We bring together the quality of a standalone boutique with the breadth of a full service club, and we deliver an experience that members build their week around. We are the membership members actually use. Everything we do is designed to deliver a premium member experience.

The Member Engagement Associate is the first person a member sees when they walk through the door, and that moment shapes the entire experience that follows. You are the face of the club on every shift. You greet members by name, make guests feel immediately welcome, and set the tone for everything Altea represents. Your scope extends beyond the front desk to include recovery services and the ProShop where applicable, and the standard you hold across all of these areas is part of what makes the member experience exceptional.

If you are someone who lights up around people, takes pride in the details, and finds real satisfaction in making others feel at home, keep reading.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Welcome Every Member You greet every person who walks through the door with warmth and presence. Not a script. Genuine attention that makes members feel recognized and valued from the moment they arrive.
  • Run a Tight Check-In You manage the check in process efficiently and accurately. Every visit logged, every guest registered, every detail handled so the member never has to think about it.
  • Support Recovery and the ProShop Where applicable, you assist members with recovery services and ProShop needs, maintaining the same warmth and knowledge you bring to the front desk.
  • Know Your Members Regular members have names, preferences, and routines. You learn them. You remember them. A member who feels known comes back, and that matters.
  • Handle It With Care Inquiries, account questions, scheduling requests, the occasional concern. You handle them calmly, confidently, and in a way that reflects what Altea stands for.
  • Hold the Standard The front of house is the first and last impression of the club. You keep it clean, organized, and professionally presented on every shift, because you understand what it communicates.

WHO YOU ARE

You are here to make people feel like they belong. That is the core of this role and the core of the member experience at Altea.

  • You are reliable and consistent. You show up on time, prepared, and ready to bring your best. Your team and your members can count on you to be the same person every single shift.
  • You pay attention to the details and you don't wait to be told. The desk is organized before the first member arrives. You see a lineup forming and you step in. You see a new member looking uncertain and you introduce yourself. The experience is everyone's responsibility, and you take that personally.
  • You are proud of where you work. When you talk about Altea to a member, a guest, or a prospective member on a tour, it comes through. You believe in what this club offers and it shows in how you show up.
