Job Description

Organize mailings, manage collection agency assignments, and other supporting tasks of daily operations of the Member Assistance Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review reports for collection agency assignments.
  • Reply to document requests from collection agencies.
  • Perform maintenance on charged off accounts.
  • Request and track GAP/Service Contract refunds.
  • Image Member assistance related documents.
  • Makes outbound calls on charged-off accounts.
  • Learning the tasks of a Member Assistance Officer.
  • Manage titles related to Member Assistance processes and prepare affidavits of repossession.
  • Processed Deceased Member Checklists and notifications.
  • Files Proof of Claims & processes bankruptcy notices.
  • Handles invoices related to repossession, foreclosures and legal accounts.
  • Responds to credit disputes sent in by members working with credit repair companies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 0 years’ experience required with 2 years preferred. Excellent data processing and computer skills. Ability to work under pressure and in an organized manner. Excellent communication and people skills. Knowledge of general delinquency management policies. Understands Credit Union goals and objectives. Ability in math, 10 key, and computer. Ability to complete work accurately with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented. Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.

Performance Standard

A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union team members. Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Must comply with Banks Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, FCRA, FDCPA, and other laws or regulations as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

Physical Requirements

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
