Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Melter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Melter will be responsible for operating and maintaining our metal melting equipment, ensuring the timely and efficient production of high-quality metal products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor metal melting equipment to melt and pour various types of metals
- Ensure the proper temperature and consistency of the molten metal
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings as needed to maintain production efficiency
- Perform quality checks on melted metal to ensure it meets specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Keep accurate records of production and equipment maintenance
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Continuously strive to improve processes and techniques to increase efficiency and quality of production
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating metal melting equipment
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their melting points
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
