Perform all operations required to install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, test, service, and program highly complex equipment in support of steel production operation and related plant facilities. Need to have knowledge of electrical and electronic wiring specification, properties of various materials, and the principles of operation and application of equipment.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems/components.
• Work with shift operation supervision to advise equipment down time as required.
• Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
• Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital multi-voltmeter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment.
• Able to understand and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed.
