Melt Shop / EAF Automation Engineer
• Update controls, HMI’s, OS’s, prints, etc.• Troubleshoot process issues• RSLogix Troubleshooting• Setup, maintain and configure industrial networks (ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet, Profibus)• Continual improvements with process and controls with small and large scale projects.• Work closely with Level 1 and Level 2 Engineers to ensure quality and manage project time work.
Required
• Excellent safety record and understanding of TCOS.• Bachelor’s Degree: Electrical Engineering/Automation Engineer/Computer Science or similar experience• Multitask and manage projects/maintenance outages• PLC experience/expertise• Willingness to learn and train others• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Excellent computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio, AutoCad, etc.)• Willingness to work unscheduled hours/days• VFD setup, networking, and controls (Schneider Electric, Siemens, Toshiba)• Microsoft SQL, Kepware and other Level 1 to Level 2 software
Preferred
• Automation experience with the following: RSLogix, RSLinks, Asset Center, Ignition and other types of automation software• VFD setup, networking and controls (PowerFlex, Toshiba, SoftStarts)• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in metals industry
