Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced MEICA Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major water infrastructure project based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. This long-term project involves the coordination of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems across all phases of construction and commissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance, and driving project performance.

To be successful, the preferred candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in water or wastewater environments, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex MEICA works.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage MEICA activities across all stages of the water infrastructure project.
2. Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
3. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
5. Monitor project progress and report on performance metrics to senior management.
6. Manage budgets, procurement, and resource allocation effectively.
7. Conduct regular site inspections and technical reviews.
8. Resolve engineering issues and provide technical guidance to site teams.
9. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and expectations.

Role Requirements:

1. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in MEICA project management within water/wastewater sectors.
3. Strong understanding of water treatment processes and infrastructure.
4. Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
5. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
