Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled MEICA Engineer to join their team working across Water and Wastewater projects in Tipperary. This role involves overseeing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation elements of key infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery. The successful candidate will be involved in both site and office-based activities, contributing to the design, installation, and commissioning phases. To be successful, the preferred candidate will have strong technical knowledge, experience in water sector projects, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage MEICA elements of water and wastewater projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish Water standards and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor quality and safety.
  • Prepare technical documentation including reports, specifications, and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Support procurement and tendering processes for MEICA packages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in MEICA engineering, ideally within the water sector.
  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Irish Water standards and framework delivery.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
