Job Title: Meetings and Events Venue Sourcing Manager

A bit about the role …

You will lead the global process working with the Global Venue Sourcing Director in the UK to manage and develop a new and existing client base to its full potential.

By producing high-quality inspirational event management and venue proposals and concepts you will ensure client satisfaction is in the front of your mind. This role includes national and international travel.

What will you do …

Client Liaison and Development:

· Manage both internal and external client communications and associated timelines

· Foster the development of your client account by managing relationships through operational delivery

· Understand client business structure, products, policies and personnel

· Assist Account Teams and Sales and Marketing with information required for client presentations within allocated accounts

· Meet all client service level agreements and key performance indicators

· Attend important operational client planning and debrief meetings

· Ensure full understanding and delivery of ABPI and Pharma Guidelines

· Present a full knowledge of US and international destinations and venues particularly larger venue capacity

· Have a full knowledge of industry standard venue finding technology tools

· To be mindful of environmental sustainability in all aspects of your role and incorporate this mindset in your approach

Budget Management:

· Deliver financial aspects of events following company processes

· Help with identification and documentation of cost avoidance / saving measures

· Comply with company and client invoicing processes

· Help with scope management

· To manage and achieve all financial aspects of the event at a project team level

· To maximize revenue generation from allocated/targeted accounts, ensuring all targets are achieved

What do you need to have …

· Live within eastern or central timezones within the US. This is required due to working closely with a UK team and European clients

· A developed understanding of global venues (hotels, conference centers etc.)

· Established relationships with hotel chains and DMCs and a respect to treat our supplier partnerships as equals

· Client liaison skills

· Team motivator and professional team member

· A focus on accuracy, consistency and dedicated to customer service

· Intermediate level Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Microsoft Office Suite

· With enthusiasm in abundance, you will be organised

· The flexibility and desire to travel both nationally and overseas
