What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a key resource within the medium voltage expertise, recognized as a “Lead” or “Subject Matter Expert.”

  • Manage personal time and professional development, taking accountability for your own results.

  • May lead and allocate the work of others.

  • Contribute to project and departmental tasks, providing direction, training, and potentially acting as a lead worker.

  • Proactively identify and resolve potential problems, considering implications beyond the immediate issue.

  • Complete assignments independently, selecting appropriate methods, and ensuring team assignments are completed.

  • Review non-standard work for technical soundness and may review the work of others, adhering Pfizer standards and guidelines as well as applicable codes and regulations.

  • Perform maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on distribution equipment such as substations, switchgear, transformers, standby power systems, and other critical electrical infrastructure.

  • Assess priorities and make decisions related to troubleshooting, diagnostics, and proactive maintenance of systems and equipment while being fiscally minded.

  • Participate in safety training programs, use tools and equipment safely, and follow equipment schematics and engineering drawings.

  • Provide training on system implementation in compliance with company standards, government regulations, and make recommendations for improvements.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Licensed State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman

  • 6+ years of experience

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently

  • Strong work ethic and the ambition to be the best

  • Project management skill set

  • Familiarity with general trades such as construction, electrical, and machine shop work

  • Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills

  • Able to lead teams

  • Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to read drawings and electrical diagrams

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suites, Power Monitoring systems, etc.)

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Understanding of Pharma Utility systems and operations.

  • Advanced certifications in relevant technical fields.

  • Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.

  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Familiarity and basic understanding of common AI tools and a curiosity for learning how they can be used to enhance productivity.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Routinely exposed to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, and energized equipment. As well as noisy, dusty, and dirty conditions. Will stoop, bend, and lift heavy items.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

May work variable shifts and 24 hour on call as required.

The salary for this position ranges from $34.39 to $57.32 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
