Contract Length: 12+ months

Work Location: Remote

CereCore is seeking an experienced MEDITECH Expanse SUR Analyst to support the Operating Room (OR) service line. This consultant will play a key role in supporting MEDITECH 5.6, MEDITECH Expanse On-Prem, and Expanse Cloud preparedness, with a strong emphasis on local build and complex, facility-specific workflows.

This role requires a hands-on, senior-level consultant who can execute a high volume of build activities under aggressive timelines, while partnering closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure accurate configuration and optimized workflows. The work will support scenarios and complexities not previously encountered in prior deployments, making strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills essential.

This position is fully remote; however, occasional travel may be necessary to support client or project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on build, configuration, and optimization for the MEDITECH Surgery (SUR) module within the OR service line.
  • Support MEDITECH 5.6 and Expanse environments, including On-Prem solutions and Cloud preparedness activities.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize OR preference cards, including surgeon-specific and procedure-based configurations.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to design and implement workflows that align with best practices while accommodating facility-specific requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing guidance on optimal system functionality and workflow design.
  • Manage and execute assigned tasks independently, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Develop clear, high-quality documentation and project deliverables for internal and external use.
  • Drive effective client communication related to project timelines, tasks, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Share knowledge with peers through peer-to-peer collaboration, mentoring, and training.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned into project methodologies and department practices.
  • Support project planning efforts, including estimation of level of effort and understanding of project deliverables.

Position Requirements

  • 7+ years of MEDITECH experience, with a strong focus on the Surgery (SUR) module across Magic, Client/Server, and/or Expanse platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting OR workflows, including surgical services, PACU, and same-day surgery environments.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with MEDITECH SUR build, including complex local build and workflow configuration.
  • Strong experience with business process analysis and implementation of best practices within defined project timelines.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to create project deliverables independently and provide functional and technical guidance to team members.
  • Experience communicating requirements to development, testing, education, and training teams.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and customer service orientation.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Commitment to collaboration, inclusion, and respect for diverse perspectives and experiences.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Clinical education or formal training related to perioperative services or surgical workflows preferred.
  • Ongoing professional development or certifications related to MEDITECH, clinical informatics, or healthcare IT preferred.
