First Shift available 6am to 2pm Full Time

Northpointe Woods is recruiting for a hospitality focused Medication Technician to join our team!

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Medication Technician:

  • Takes vital signs as indicated;
  • Assists with showers/baths, assists with dressing and other personal care;
  • Assists with escorts to the dining room, hair salon, activities; etc;
  • Makes daily rounds to residents as required;
  • Keeps supervisor informed of the status of residents;
  • Responds promptly to all “Call for Aid” requests;
  • Assists in monitoring medication compliance;
  • Assists with meal service including table set-up, serving, tableside assistance, room trays, dining room cleaning, etc.
  • Assists with light housekeeping tasks such as bed changes, trash removal, etc.
  • Properly transport and deliver soiled laundry to designated collection points;
  • Records accurate resident progress notes, condition change notes, and other documentation as directed by supervisor;
  • Completes all items listed on shift checklist;
  • Attends all in-service sessions as required;
  • Attends all staff meetings as required;
  • Performs other work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Pass all medications
  • Oversee all resident care staff
  • Assess health issues of residents and contact family, doctor and resident care director as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests;
  • Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in all work areas;
  • Use all safety equipment and follow safety procedures according to policies;
  • Maintain acceptable standard of personal hygiene and comply with community’s dress code;
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality and resident dignity at all times

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively;
  • Ability to document notes clearly;
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, coworkers, and supervisor; requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness;
  • Ability to follow and maintain basic infection control procedures;
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
  • At least one year experience preferred.
