Job Description

Are you a skilled and dedicated Medication Technician (Med Tech) with a passion for helping seniors live their best lives? We're looking for an experienced individual to join our close-knit team and make a real difference in the lives of our residents. What You'll Do:

As a Med Tech / Caregiver, you'll be a key part of our resident care team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Medication Management: You'll be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, including narcotics. This includes maintaining meticulous records, ordering refills from the pharmacy, and coordinating with physicians for new orders.
  • Resident Care: You will assist residents with daily living activities like grooming, hygiene, dressing, and eating. You'll also take and report vital signs, assist with blood glucose checks and insulin administration, and use specialized therapies to improve resident quality of life.
  • Safety and Support: You will ensure a safe, clean, and home-like environment for our residents. This includes responding to call lights promptly, keeping the medication cart organized, and assisting other staff members as needed.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a compassionate and reliable professional who meets the following criteria:

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or 17 with a C.N.A. certificate in Idaho.
  • You must have current First Aid, CPR, and medication assistance certificate
  • You have a solid understanding of medications, potential drug reactions, and physician instructions.
  • You are knowledgeable about resident rights and have experience with therapies and techniques to improve resident well-being.
  • You have the ability to handle emergency situations with a calm and capable demeanor.
  • You can work effectively with diverse populations, including those with memory loss or physical impairments.
  • You are punctual, reliable, and committed to providing excellent attendance.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. A criminal background check is required.
