The Pharmacist Informatics position serves as a strategic business partner to pharmacy operations and clinical practice for managing automation, hardware, and technical solutions to medication related needs. They participate in and support the analysis, feasibility, selection, implementation, and maintenance of medication management related health information technology and automation systems. Responsible for the management and delivery of medication related data, information, and knowledge. Responsible for the development and management of system integration with automation hardware and corresponding reporting & analytics. Responsible for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams and medication management related projects. Interacts, communicates and collaborates effectively across diverse teams, disciplines and departments. Actively promotes, facilitates, and participates in medication use process supporting technology research and educational activities. May be required to provide on-call support.
This position will be based out of the Arizona campus.
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree (or Pharmacy BS degree if graduated before 2000).
Completion of an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency in pharmacy informatics; or accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency and 2 years applicable pharmacy informatics or pharmacy practice experience; or a minimum of 4 years applicable pharmacy informatics or pharmacy practice experience. Applicable experience includes providing progressive services in clinical informatics and pharmacy practice. Proven history of successfully working in a team environment. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet and data base applications.
Preferred Completion of an informatics related certification or advanced degree program: Deep understanding of core pharmacy operations and has developed expertise in managing end - end medication use management supporting systems. Experience with leading multidisciplinary teams and projects and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Residency completion and current Epic certification highly desired
License: License to practice Pharmacy in Arizona. Relevant application or system certification may be required.
