Job Description

The Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub is an early intervention service designed to support children aged 0–12 years and their families and caregivers. Through a dedicated multidisciplinary team, the Hub will deliver a broad range of evidence-informed supports, including therapeutic interventions, group programs, parenting support, peer and family support, cognitive assessments, and outreach services, tailored to meet the needs of children and families.

The Role:

As part of the reception team you are responsible for quality customer service to all individuals and stakeholders of the service portfolios and external stakeholders working from the Kids Hub. As the first point of contact for individuals to the organisation, a sound general knowledge of all Marymead CatholicCare programs and services will be required. The Receptionist is responsible for responding to initial enquiries from individuals, stakeholders, staff and the general public and then referring them on as appropriate. Part of your role is to ensure all enquires are dealt with in a timely manner with respect and privacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to program managers and staff.
  • Create strong customer relationships and maintain a warm and friendly environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Manage incoming calls and respond to enquiries in a professional, timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitors and service usage.
  • Coordinate appointments and manage the scheduling of activities and booking of meeting rooms within the Kids Hub.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge about services and programs offered by Marymead CatholicCare.

Qualifications:

  • Have the availability to work between the hours of 7.30am to 6.00pm on a rotating roster.
  • Strong organisational skills with a demonstrated high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Ability to determine priorities and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Advanced computer literacy levels and willingness to learn program specific software.
  • A compassionate and patient approach when dealing with children and families.
