Your Specific Responsibilities:
The Medical/Health Care Program Analyst position’s role is to serve as liaison to the Medical Director evaluating and providing analysis of the clinical operations for FDOH Walton/Walton Community Health Center clinics and residency program to carry out daily work and delivery of health care services effectively and efficiently. This position functions under the supervision and direction of the Medical Director and works in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, Medical Executive Director, Business Manager, and Residency Program Director to contrive, guide, organize, and monitor clinical services provided at FDOH Walton and Walton Community Health Center clinics. Adheres to Information Security policies and procedures and is key custodian for assigned areas.
This position ensures that a patient-centered medical home approach to providing total health care to patients is used. Patient-centered is a way of saying that the patient is the most important person on the health care team. The patient is at the center of the health care team, which includes health care professionals, trusted friends or family members, and the patient.
Provides patient-centered interactions:
Review programs, processes, procedures, staff configurations and confer with management and to users to identify problems and improvements with clinic operations. Interviews personnel, conducts on-site observation, and compiles data, analogies and reports to ascertain clinic process/functions, methods, equipment and personnel utilization. Designs, evaluates, and recommends changes based on needs, efficiencies, cost, and analysis. Compiles clinical data and reports for the residency director in accordance with ACGME requirements. These reports must include data on individual provider and residency clinic performance regarding:
Collects clinical data from the EHR to share with residency clinicians who seek data as part of QI or research projects. Provides technical assistance, consultation and direction for the development, implementation, evaluation and expansion of clinic programs and services. Confers with key management staff to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures. Build clinic schedules and templates in the EHR for all residency clinicians. Manage clinic schedule and template changes in the EHR for all residency clinicians. Serves as a local expert for coding and billing and provides periodic feedback to residency clinicians on how to improve financial performance through improved billing and coding. Serves as a liaison between residency clinicians and the Walton County Fire Rescue Community Health Program and Point Washington Medical Clinic. In this role he/she will ensure that patients seen by residency clinical staff outside of the Coastal Branch are able to receive appropriate follow-up care in the Coastal Branch in a timely manner.
Reviews, develops, and monitors compliance standards and procedures for clinic operations, provides recommendations for improvements.
Plans and conducts studies of clinic operations, problems, and procedures, gathers and organizes information on problems or procedures. Compiles clinic data, analyzes clinical data gathered, and develops solutions or alternative methods for improvement of clinic operations/processes and presents to management. Works closely with clinic supervisors to ensure appropriate, efficient, cost-effective staffing of clinic with the delivery of superior customer service. This position is responsible for monitoring and reporting productivity of clinic staff, productivity reporting, and continuous quality improvement in productivity. Empanels new primary care patients to residency physicians in the EHR and actively manages all resident patient panels to ensure all panels meet Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements for patient mix. Prepares manuals and trains staff relating to processes and procedures according to need.
Works with the FQHC Grants Manager to ensure compliance with HRSA’s 19 Grant requirements and UDS reporting standards.
Assist residency leadership with ordering new medical equipment and supplies.
Active member of Clinic Management Team and Quality Assurance/Improvement Committee (i.e. represents the Residency Program when program leadership is unable to attend).
Codes Employee Activity Records accurately. Serves on various committees, teams, and work groups to support the organization. Performs other related duties as requested.

Minimum - Current state driver’s license, previous experience with data collecting and analysis, experience in medical billing and coding, experience in quality improvement/quality assurance
Preferred – 2+ years previous experience with data collecting and analysis, 2+ years experience in medical billing and coding, 2+ years experience in quality improvement/quality assurance.
