Full Time Fixed Term (12-month contract)

How you will make an impact

The Medical Workforce Coordinator is responsible for the administration and coordination of Medical Workforce services across Cabrini Health, supporting the employment lifecycle of Junior Medical Staff and After-Hours Medical Fellows. Working closely with medical leaders and key stakeholders, the role oversees recruitment, onboarding, rotations, rostering, leave management, accreditation and workforce administration, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant and high-quality support for Cabrini's medical workforce and teaching programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the recruitment, onboarding and employment administration of Junior Medical Staff and After-Hours Medical Fellows.

  • Managing medical workforce operations, including rotations, rostering, leave coordination and workforce planning.

  • Supporting accreditation of training positions and coordinating postgraduate medical education programs.

  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with medical leaders, specialist colleges, partner hospitals and external stakeholders.

  • Monitoring Medical Workforce budgets, payroll, secondment arrangements and workforce reporting.

  • Providing administrative support to Medical Services committees and responding to Medical Workforce enquiries.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Medical Workforce processes and service delivery.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in medical workforce administration or a similar healthcare administrative role.

  • Knowledge of the Australian Medical Association Doctors in Training Agreement and medical employment processes (preferred).

  • Strong administrative skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.

  • Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Workday, Dimensions or similar HR systems is highly regarded.
