Healthcare Delivery Driver (Multi-Drop)

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Full time | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week

The Role

As a Healthcare Delivery Driver (Multi-Drop), you will be responsible for collecting and delivering temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and healthcare products across multiple locations on a daily route.

You will deliver to a variety of customers, including:

• Hospitals
• GP surgeries
• Retail pharmacies
• Pharmaceutical wholesalers
• Healthcare facilities
• Patients at home

This is a customer-facing role that requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect healthcare and pharmaceutical products safely and efficiently.
• Manage a multi-drop route while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Scan and track consignments accurately.
• Complete daily vehicle and refrigeration unit safety checks.
• Ensure products remain within the required temperature range during transportation.
• Accurately capture delivery information using handheld technology.
• Complete driver manifests and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with operational teams and customers.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, healthcare regulations, and road safety requirements.
• Present a professional and courteous image at all times.

What We’re Looking For :

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
• Full UK Category B Driving Licence.
• Ideally no more than 3 penalty points.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively.
• Professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach.

Desirable Experience

• Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
• Experience working in healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical, or logistics environments.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.

Working Hours

This role is contracted at 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Due to the nature of healthcare logistics, flexibility is essential. Additional hours may be required to support urgent and time-critical medical deliveries.

Drivers can typically expect to work between 48 and 52 hours per week, depending on operational requirements.

Additional Information

As this role involves the transportation of pharmaceutical and healthcare products, successful applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Oversees and manages the pick-up and delivery of packages/goods to and from customers in a local vicinity. Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements. May manage a group of service providers or helpers, and ensures safety, service, and performance standards are met and improved. May manage outside service providers or third-party contractors to ensure standards and service levels are maintained. Develops and executes plans to ensure business KPI's and imperatives are met. May be involved in dispatch planning and training of drivers, helpers, and cyclists.

Delivers hands-on work, typically related to the core UPS business operations. Follows established processes and procedures to execute work efficiently and safely.

Performs manual work that requires skills developed through formal training or work experience. Works within established procedures and guidelines. Completes assigned tasks with a moderate supervision.
