Job Description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

As a Medical Value Lead, you will serve as a trusted, scientifically grounded partner within our customer engagement model. You will build and maintain deep connections with key external stakeholders to optimize medical practice, accelerate our pipeline, and ensure Roche remains a preferred healthcare partner across core disease areas.

Your Responsibilities

  • Proactively drive medical strategy: Shape and execute the local medical strategy to communicate a scientifically sound, differentiated value story across the asset lifecycle.
  • Engage key scientific partners: Build peer-to-peer relationships with Top Academic Experts (TAEs) and healthcare professionals, dedicating substantial in-field time to non-promotional scientific exchanges and collaborative partnerships.
  • Translate clinical insights: Systematically gather and analyze field-based insights—including patient perspectives—to inform cross-functional disease strategy and clinical gap analysis.
  • Deliver scientific education: Provide high-quality medical education, support internal team capability building, and lead scientific advisory boards to advance clinical confidence and practice adoption.
  • Support clinical research & access: Partner with Clinical Operations and Regulatory teams on study site engagement, health authority exchanges, and local trial feasibility to accelerate pipeline delivery.
  • Ensure data integrity: Serve as a custodian of medical and competitor data, upholding rigorous scientific standards, ethics, and human-in-the-loop validation for digital and medical information inquiries.

Who You Are

You are an empathetic, scientifically curious partner who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about translating complex data into meaningful health outcomes.

  • Advanced Scientific Education: You hold a completed degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Natural Sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Medical Affairs Expertise: You bring solid experience within Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or a related clinical role within a specific therapeutic domain.
  • Communication & Engagement: You possess strong, assertive communication skills with a proven ability to engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with external clinical leaders.
  • Strategic & Digital Acumen: You demonstrate strategic thinking, adapt comfortably to digital tools, and understand the importance of human oversight when utilizing AI-derived scientific content.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required for global collaboration, alongside fluency in Arabic to effectively engage with local healthcare ecosystems.

Together, we’ll advance along the whole patient journey with the aspiration to prevent, stop and cure diseases.
