Job Description

The Medical Training & Clinical Standards Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality, and safe clinical practices across Belo. This role oversees medical training, clinical standards, quality assurance, patient safety, and compliance to help ensure doctors and clinic teams deliver excellent patient care. The role works closely with the Deputy Medical Director, Chief Trainer, HR, and clinic teams to implement training programs, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement in clinical quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Training & Development

  • Plan and manage the annual training calendar for doctors, including CME, ADEPT, and procedure-specific training.
  • Work with the Deputy Medical Director, Chief Trainer, and HR to identify learning and development needs.
  • Manage CPD accreditation for eligible training programs.
  • Maintain training materials, attendance records, assessments, certifications, and other learning documentation.
  • Track completion of required training and monitor compliance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training through assessments, feedback, and clinical performance.

Clinical Standards & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain and regularly review clinical standards, consent forms, and related documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with required patient care activities, including care calls and post-procedure follow-ups.
  • Track clinical quality indicators such as complications, adverse events, and physician performance trends.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with clinical standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by using audit results, patient feedback, and clinical data.
  • Help maintain emergency response protocols and ensure clinics are prepared.
  • Escalate significant patient safety, quality, or compliance concerns to medical leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with doctors, clinic operations, HR, commercial teams, and medical leadership to implement training and clinical standards consistently across all clinics.
  • Support the rollout of new clinical procedures, policies, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Nursing, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Education, or a related field; advanced degree or clinical background is an advantage.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in healthcare training, clinical operations, quality assurance, clinical governance, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of medical training, adult learning principles, and clinical education.
  • Experience with clinical standards, patient safety, quality assurance, and compliance.
  • Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, monitor compliance, and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
