Medical Technologist I-Genomics

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Technologist I-Genomics to join our team in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform genomics testing, including sample processing, nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) extraction, quantification, and conduct routine molecular assays such as PCR and qPCR.
• Evaluate sample acceptability based on established guidelines and process specimens for analysis in accordance with established written procedures.
• Accurately evaluate test results according to standardized protocols.
• Maintain quality control measures during testing to ensure compliance with established quality standards. Document corrective and preventative actions with good documentation practices.
• Maintain overview of reagent inventory.
• Assist in the proper maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment in line with manufacturer specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in internal and external quality assessment as required.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols while maintaining a clean, organized, and orderly facility at all times.
• Comply with good laboratory practices for all procedures in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Biomedical or Biological Science.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years or more working experience in a clinical genomics or molecular laboratory.
• Hands-on experience in molecular techniques and platforms is preferred.
