Qualifications:
The Medical Technician is a specialized direct support position responsible for providing hands-on support, enhanced clinical observation, respiratory support, and medication administration for individuals with complex medical needs. This role combines traditional direct support responsibilities with advanced skill-based competencies designed to promote health stability, early identification of medical concerns, and improved quality of care.
The Medical Technician serves as an important member of the interdisciplinary team by supporting the implementation of ISP, medical and respiratory plans while collaborating closely with nursing, respiratory therapy, and residential staff. Through ongoing competency-based training, the Medical Technician assists in maintaining a safe, healthy environment and supports positive health outcomes for individuals served.
